Suiho Tagawa

Real Name: Nakataro Takamizawa. After losing his mother at the age of one, he was raised by his aunt and uncle, developing an interest in painting influenced by his uncle, who practiced southern painting. After finishing elementary school, he went into servitude but joined the military at twenty. After two years of military life, he entered the Japan School of Fine Arts. While in school, he participated in the avant-garde art group "Mavo" led by Tomiyoshi Murayama. After graduating, he became a manga artist after works as a new rakugo playwright, and in 1931, debuted "Norakuro Second Class" in Shonen Club. This story of a homeless dog, Norakuro, who joins a fierce dog regiment and overcomes various difficulties with wit and humor, captivated not just children but adults as well, becoming a sensation. The "Norakuro" series was serialized for 11 years until it received a publication ban from the Information Bureau in 1941. In 1969, the "Reprint Edition of the Norakuro Manga Complete Set" was published as a second boom for Norakuro, loved by people of all ages. That same year, he received the Purple Ribbon Medal for his contribution to the rise of contemporary manga. He passed away on December 12, 1989, at the age of 90 due to heart failure.

I have cherished this collection, but as my DVD and CD collection has grown too large, I am now selling it. I have listed it at a low price, so I hope it finds a good home where someone can enjoy it.
