Original Vintage Kluson Peg Specification
This model is one of the 60 limited edition pieces produced, the J-45 "The59" Genesis made in 2017.
It features a sound hole positioned slightly closer to the bridge than the regular model, with a ceramic adjustable saddle, supported by large-size studs similar to those used in 1959.
The key points are the original vintage Kluson peg specification and the neck fully reproduced from CAD data of a 1959 J-45, known as the "59 neck," with a nut width of approximately 43mm, delivering a thick neck profile. The neck profile from 1959, regarded as one of the finest in Gibson history, is exquisitely recreated.
The pickguard is wider and longer than the current model, tracing its design from the 1959 version, and the finish has been changed from the old model's V.O.S to a gloss lacquer.
Due to these specifications, this guitar markedly differs from current models and has a powerful resonance, allowing you to enjoy a vintage J-45-like appearance and sound.
The guitar showcases a characteristic rich red hue of the 3Tone Sunburst typical of 1959; however, about eight years have passed since its manufacture, causing the surface lacquer to have subtly begun to age, providing an outstanding vintage vibe.
Though it is a relatively recent item, it already possesses a vintage-like character that is distinctly different from the current 3Tone Sunburst J-45.
The condition is good, with minor scratches from play, but collectors sensitive about finer details should exercise caution.
