Description

Thank you for viewing this listing.
This is a used item.

[KOF2000]
The case and the cartridge show some wear and minor scratches due to age and use, but they are not significant enough to detract from their appearance.
The cartridge terminals have some scratches from normal use, but they function properly.

Considering its age, I believe this item can be described as a beautiful piece.

[KOF2001]
Similar to KOF2000, the case and cartridge show slight wear and some minor scratches, again not enough to compromise their appearance. The cartridge terminals are very clean with hardly any scratches or wear.

Overall, given its age, the condition is quite good.

Please note that the white areas visible on the edges of the cartridge in photos 4 and 5 are reflections from the lighting, not scratches.

Both items are original products sold over 20 years ago, so please consider them as collector's items.

Collector Commentary

The King of Fighters series, particularly the 2000 and 2001 installments, holds a revered place in the fighting game community, and these Neo Geo ROM cartridges represent an essential part of that legacy. Released during the height of KOF's popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s, these titles are sought after by collectors for their nostalgic value and gameplay excellence. While the condition noted here suggests minor wear typical for items of this age, the cartridges' functionality and original status enhance their collectibility, especially in the Japanese market where preservation standards are often higher. At a current bid of ¥120,000, this auction not only reflects their rarity but also indicates the enduring demand for authentic early-run gaming merchandise from iconic franchises like KOF.
